Feature request tracker

A feature request tracker your users can actually see

Every request lands on one board, gets counted by the people who want it, and carries a status until it ships — so nobody has to email you asking what happened to their idea.

01Track

What a feature request tracker actually does

Requests arrive everywhere — a support email, a Slack DM, the last two minutes of a call. A tracker's job is to make that mess countable: one canonical entry per request, duplicates folded into it, and a status the person who asked can read without pinging you.

One entry per request

Fold duplicates into the original so the vote count stays honest.

A number, not a hunch

Ten votes and one vote look identical in a spreadsheet. Not here.

A status anyone can check

Open, Planned, Started, Completed — visible on the public board.

A trail back to the person

Requests keep the requester's email, so you can follow up the day you ship.

02Board

How SeggWat's feature request tracker works

Your board lives at seggwat.com/p/your-name, or on your own domain on the Pro plan. Users post an idea from the board itself or through the one-line feedback widget on your site — and it lands in the same dashboard you triage bugs in, not a second tool.

Ideas board

A public list of requests, sorted by votes or newest, with search and tag filters.

Voting

Anonymous by default, or email-verified and identified when you need to know who asked.

Comments

The requester and your team work out the details on the request itself, in the open.

Optional moderation

New submissions can wait for your approval before they publish — or auto-approve.

Promote from feedback

Turn a support message you already have into a votable request.

Admin response

Attach a short public note explaining a status, so a decline isn't silence.

03Status

Every request carries a status

Requests move Open → Planned → Started → Completed, and users can keep voting the whole way through Started. When something isn't happening, mark it Declined with a one-line public reason instead of leaving it to rot — and fold repeat requests into the original as Duplicate so one idea keeps all its votes. Shipped work can record the version it landed in, so "Completed" means something specific.

04Ship

From request to roadmap to changelog

A tracker that only stores requests is a graveyard. The same board is your public roadmap tool — planned and started items are the roadmap — and moving an idea to Completed is your cue to announce it in the changelog, which ships with an Atom feed and reactions. Still working from a doc? The feature request template is a fine place to start before you move the loop onto a board.

05Pricing

What it costs

The tracker is part of every plan, not an add-on. Starter is $7/month, or $6/month billed yearly — flat, not per seat — with up to 3 projects and 2 team members. Pro is $19/month, or $15/month billed yearly, and adds up to 30 projects, 30 members, and your board on your own domain. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card. 06FAQ

Feature request tracker FAQ

What is a feature request tracker?

A feature request tracker is one place where every request lands, gets counted, and gets an answer. Instead of requests scattering across email, Slack, and support tickets, each one becomes a single entry with a vote count, a status, and a link back to the person who asked.

How do users submit a feature request in SeggWat?

Straight from your public board, or through the one-line feedback widget on your site. You can also promote any piece of feedback you already have into an idea, so a support email becomes a votable request.

What statuses can a feature request have?

Open, Planned, Started, and Completed for the normal path, plus Declined with a public note explaining why, and Duplicate for requests merged into the idea they repeat. Users can vote on Open, Planned, and Started items.

Can I moderate requests before they appear publicly?

Yes. New submissions can land pending your approval so nothing publishes to the board until you have seen it, or you can auto-approve if you would rather keep it open.

How much does the feature request tracker cost?

It is part of every SeggWat plan. Starter is 7 USD per month, or 6 USD per month billed yearly, flat rather than per seat. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.
