Idea management

Idea management software for SaaS and product teams

Collect ideas from your users and your team in one board, let people vote so priority stops being an argument, and tell everyone what happened when you ship. Built for teams of one to thirty, not innovation departments.

01Why

What idea management software does

Ideas are not the scarce resource — a decision about them is. Most teams already have more suggestions than they can build; what they lack is one list, a way to tell which suggestion has fifteen people behind it, and a habit of answering the person who suggested it. That is the whole job.

Capture

One place ideas go, whether they come from a user, a teammate, or a support thread.

Deduplicate

Fold repeats into the original so the count reflects demand, not enthusiasm for typing.

Prioritize

Sort by votes and decide from evidence instead of whoever emailed most recently.

Close the loop

Tell people what you decided — including the ideas you are not building.

02Collect

Get ideas out of Slack and into one board

Your ideas board is public: it lives at seggwat.com/p/your-name, or on your own domain on the Pro plan, with your title, logo, and accent color. Users can post there directly, or send an idea from the feedback widget without leaving your app.

From your users

The public board and the one-line widget, both tied to the same project.

From your team

Add an idea in the dashboard, or promote a support message you already received.

From your stack

The REST API files and reads ideas directly. The MCP server lets an AI assistant file feedback you promote into ideas.

Moderated if you want

New submissions can wait for approval before they publish — or go live immediately.

03Prioritize

Let the votes make the argument

Every idea carries a vote count, and the board sorts by it. Voting can be anonymous, or tied to an identified user when you need to know exactly who is waiting on something — which turns a vote count into a follow-up list. Comments live on the idea, so the discussion sits next to the thing it is about.

Sort by votes or newest

Two views, and the one that matters is usually votes.

Anonymous or identified

Open voting for reach, verified voting when you need to trust the number.

Tags and search

Slice the board by area so a planning session doesn't mean scrolling.

Duplicates keep their votes

Merge a repeat into the original rather than splitting demand across two entries.

04Ship

From idea to shipped, without a second tool

An idea moves Open → Planned → Started → Completed, and the planned and started items are your public roadmap — no separate roadmap to keep in sync, because it is the same board. When you ship, announce it in the changelog (Atom feed and reactions included) and record the version the idea landed in. Ideas you are not building get marked Declined with a short public note, which is a better answer than silence. The mechanics of the board itself are covered on the feature request tracker page.

05Fit

Built for small teams, not enterprise innovation programs

Most "idea management software" is sold to innovation departments running company-wide idea campaigns with stage gates, scoring committees, and portfolio reporting. SeggWat does none of that, on purpose. If you run an internal innovation program for a few thousand employees, buy one of those. If you build a SaaS product and want your users' ideas collected, voted on, and shipped, that is what this is.

Where it fits

Solo founders and product teams up to 30 people who ship their own roadmap.

Where it doesn't

Idea challenges, stage-gate workflows, and innovation-portfolio reporting aren't here.

Scoring

Votes and your judgement — there's no weighted scoring matrix to configure.

Ceiling

Plans top out at 30 projects and 30 team members; past that, talk to us first.

06Pricing

Priced like a tool, not a platform

Starter is $7/month, or $6/month billed yearly — 3 projects, 2 team members. Pro is $19/month, or $15/month billed yearly — 30 projects, 30 members, your board on your own domain, published surveys, and live chat. Flat, not per seat, so inviting a teammate doesn't change the bill. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. See the full breakdown.

07FAQ

Idea management FAQ

What is idea management software?

Idea management software is where ideas get collected, discussed, prioritized, and decided on. For a product team that means a board of ideas from users and teammates, votes that show what is actually wanted, and a status on each one so the people who suggested it know where it stands.

How do ideas get into SeggWat?

Users post directly on your public board or through the one-line feedback widget on your site. Your team adds ideas from the dashboard, promotes existing feedback into an idea, or pushes them in through the REST API. An AI assistant on the MCP server can file feedback, which you then promote into an idea.

How does SeggWat help prioritize ideas?

Votes are the signal. Each idea carries a vote count you can sort by, votes can be anonymous or tied to identified users, and duplicates fold into the original so one idea keeps every vote it earned. There is no scoring matrix — the count and your judgement are the model.

Is SeggWat enterprise innovation management software?

No. There are no idea challenges, stage-gate workflows, or innovation-portfolio reporting. SeggWat is built for SaaS and product teams that want user ideas collected, voted on, and shipped. Plans top out at 30 team members and 30 projects.

How much does SeggWat cost?

Starter is 7 USD per month, or 6 USD per month billed yearly, covering 3 projects and 2 team members. Pro is 19 USD per month, or 15 USD per month billed yearly, covering 30 projects and 30 members. Pricing is flat, not per seat, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
